Training and Rates
Jaralyn's training philosophy is based on the classical training scale. Her approach with horses is systematic, patient and repeatable. Her approach with students depends on each person's riding goals, experience and learning style.
From May-December, Jaralyn trains her own horses and a few select full training clients at Shepherd's Run Farm in Poolesville, MD. Ship-ins are welcome at Shepherd's Run, and we have temporary stabling for overnights or week-long visits. Jaralyn also has a few customers boarding at the lovely Wyndham Oaks farm in Boyds, Maryland. Jaralyn is typically teaching at Wyndham Oaks three days per week.
From December-May, Finesse Dressage moves to our southern home in at Shepherds Run South in White Fences, Loxahatchee, Florida. We accept a full training clients for the Florida season, please inquire as to stall availablity.
2-4 sessions/week $75/ea (partial or full training)
1x week session or less, $85/ea
Clinics $850/day, plus travel, maximum 10 lessons/day
Judging for schooling shows partial day $300, full day, $350, plus travel
Coaching a 30min warm-up at horse shows $40
Board in Maryland is $950/month.
Lesson on Finesse-provided horse is $120
If you have a horse or horses you wish to be in full training and competed by Jaralyn exclusively, special arrangement on training rates is possible.
